This spinnaker repair tape, which is highly adhesive and designed to withstand damp environments, allows for the repair of spinnaker sails and prevents a tear from spreading.
To apply it, the sail must be rinsed with fresh water and dried, then laid on a flat, clean surface.
Cut pieces should not have corners, as this helps prevent the surrounding fabric from cracking and also keeps the tape from peeling off.
You should therefore round off the corners with scissors and apply a patch to each side of the sail.
