Allen titanium threaded deck bush, also known as a through-deck fitting or fairlead. It guides a rope or cable through a deck, bulkhead, or box, protecting both the rope and the surface it passes through from wear.
Its two parts screw into each other: the deck bush thus protects both sides of the wall and adapts to a range of thicknesses, here from 9 to 14 mm. Each part has two small holes that allow it to be gripped with circlip pliers for tightening.
Ideal for carbon: titanium is highly resistant and does not react with carbon like aluminium does. It can therefore be mounted directly on a carbon surface, without electrolytic isolation sealant.
