Practicing various different water sports (ILCA, Viper, Class A classic and foiler, RS800, etc.) in very different conditions has led me to choose my equipment based on 3 main criteria: thermal protection, mobility, and safety.
I am 1.73m tall and weigh 72kg, and I generally opt for the following configuration:
- A buoyancy aid vest IMPACT VEST 50N Forward sailing in size L to be comfortable when putting it over the trapeze harness, but for simple hiking without a harness, size M is sufficient.
- I use a trapeze harness PRO HARNESS WITH LUMBAR 2.0, which ensures perfect mobility with excellent lumbar support during training sessions of 4 hours or more, without any pain at the contact points, with a very tight belt at the hips,
- I use the Rooster Aquafleece top size M, which offers a "waterproof" seal at the hips and hands, and a "soft" feel at the neck, without irritation. The fleece lining is ideal in all seasons and all conditions,
- As an alternative or in addition to the Aquafleece top, I use a Zhik Superwarm V neoprene top, over which I recommend wearing a lycra for better durability.
